As the American Express Centurion Lounge network once held the spotlight, Chase and Capital One are swiftly establishing their own branded airport lounges.
Since 2021, Capital One has launched four lounges, the latest being in Las Vegas, along with a unique dining concept called “Landing.”
Upcoming additions include a lounge at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and a Landing at LaGuardia Airport (LGA).
Here’s everything we know about Capital One’s lounges, including access details and what to expect inside.
Access to Capital One Lounges
The primary route for travelers to access a Capital One Lounge is through the $395 annual fee Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, although other options exist.
The Venture X card provides unlimited lounge access for primary cardholders and authorized users, along with complimentary entry for up to two guests per visit (children aged 2 and under are free). Additional guests can enter for $45 each, making the guest policy relatively generous.
Additionally, unlimited access to Capital One lounges is available with the Capital One Venture X Business card, which also comes with a $395 annual fee and the same access privileges as the personal Venture X.
Cardholders of the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and the Capital One Spark Miles for Business can enter these lounges for a special fee of $45 per person.
Moreover, anyone can gain access to Capital One lounges for a higher fee of $90 per person.

Las Vegas Lounge
The latest lounge opened in February 2023 at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas.
It can be found in Terminal 3, Concourse D, on Level 2, near Gate 50. This lounge operates daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., offering extended hours compared to other Capital One locations.
Inside, visitors can grab quick snacks and enjoy small plates, craft cocktails, and locally roasted coffee, along with a signature airport beer called Lady Luck from Vienna Lager.
Six private gender-neutral restrooms are available complete with changing tables, and amenities include a relaxation room and two private workspaces available through reservation.
Unique daily rituals, such as Italian-style shaken espresso in the morning, afternoon tea with pastries, and sunset sparkling wine service, enhance the lounge’s experience with impressive views.
However, this lounge does not feature certain amenities that are typically found in other locations, such as showers, workout facilities, or luggage lockers.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Landing
Capital One expanded its offerings by opening its first Landing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) in November 2024.
Located in Terminal 2 near Concourse D, it’s close to the American Airlines’ gates and a short walk from gates used by other airlines in a compact terminal.
While it isn’t a traditional lounge, the Capital One Landing prioritizes an elevated dining experience, collaborating with the highly-regarded José Andrés Group to curate food and beverage menus. Staying true to its culinary roots, the Landing features Spanish-style tapas.
The Landing features a two-part setup, requiring guests to leave one area and walk through the terminal to access the other. After checking in at the main lounge, guests receive assigned tables and a menu featuring speedy tapas service, along with specialty beverages.

The Landing lacks showers, relaxation zones, or private conference rooms, targeting the needs of rapid domestic travelers at DCA.

Denver Lounge
Capital One launched its third lounge in November 2023 at Denver International Airport.
Situated in Concourse A, it’s ideal for travelers flying with Frontier Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and various international carriers; however, passengers from Concourses B and C will need to take an underground train to reach it.
This lounge celebrates Denver’s distinct culture with mountain-themed artwork and food and beverage options sourced from local suppliers.
Lounge guests can opt for bespoke cocktails, and the location’s standout airport beer is the Sky High P.A. Each lounge also provides grab-and-go options for those in a hurry, alongside heartier fare for guests who wish to savor their time.
Moreover, the lounge features two showers, relaxation rooms, and three private workrooms available for reservations, as well as a parent’s room.

Dulles Lounge
In September 2023, Capital One debuted its second lounge at Dulles International Airport, conveniently located just past the TSA PreCheck security lines.
Guests can choose from numerous grab-and-go snack and drink options for a quick bite or explore the open-concept area for an extensive range of single-serve food and exciting drink choices.
Local culture is highlighted through various art pieces, including a cherry blossom margarita and locally roasted coffee on offer.

Dallas Fort Worth Lounge
Capital One’s DFW lounge spans approximately 10,000 square feet and is situated in Terminal D, close to Gate 22, directly across from the American Express Centurion Lounge.
Designed to celebrate the Dallas-Fort Worth area, this lounge accentuates its guest experience through collaborations with local artists, breweries, coffee roasters, and cocktail establishments.
In developing this lounge, Capital One emphasized eco-friendly materials, unique textures, and impressive designs such as curved surfaces.
Featuring over 55 pieces of original art by local artists curated by the Tappan Collective, the space showcases diverse perspectives and mediums giving travelers unique regional experiences through art.

JFK Lounge
In mid-2024, Capital One announced it would open its fifth lounge at JFK, expected to launch in mid-2025.
Located in Terminal 4, the lounge will include features that honor New York City culture.
A bodega will provide coffee and bagels, creating an authentic urban environment. Guests will have the chance to enjoy cheeses and cured meats from the Hudson Valley alongside lounge-exclusive wines and beers.
Consistent with other Capital One lounges, the JFK location will also showcase local art and grab-and-go food options. Covering an area of 13,000 square feet, it will be 2,000 square feet smaller than the Centurion Lounge, which underscores the high demand for lounge space at JFK given the volume of travelers passing through annually.

LGA Landing

Dining and Beverage Options at Capital One Lounges
Capital One lounges present a high-quality in-lounge dining experience with seasonal dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients.
During our visits, we’ve enjoyed some exceptional dishes, including a distinctive beef bibimbap bowl with an intriguing balance of spiciness and sweetness.
For those with a sweet tooth, the cannoli we’ve sampled were wonderfully crispy on the outside with a rich and decadent filling.

Wellness Features in Capital One Lounges
Wellness is a key focus in Capital One’s lounge strategy.
The DFW lounge even allows guests to engage in a full workout with Peloton bikes and a yoga room.
The DFW, DEN, and LAS locations also have relaxation rooms equipped with modern nap pods, blankets, and eye masks to ensure travelers have a comfortable layover.
Additionally, nursing rooms equipped with lounge chairs, footrests, bottle warmers, minifridges, and changing tables are available at the DFW, IAD, and DEN locations. The LAS lounge also offers three types of beverage mix-ins to promote relaxation, energy, or wellness, available with any drink order upon request.

Final Thoughts
Since American Express revolutionized the lounge experience in 2013 with its first Centurion Lounge, Capital One is stepping into this arena, and Chase Sapphire lounges are also making their mark. So far, the competition seems to be fierce.
Capital One is carving out a niche with lounge features like grab-and-go options, local elements in each lounge, and a focus on creating “perfect airport beers.” Plus, the introduction of its smaller Landing formats offers more diversity for cardholders.
Keep an eye on Capital One — it may rise to the top of the lounge game soon.
