American Airlines AAdvantage has launched a new promotion designed to boost your Loyalty Points as the new status year approaches. Additionally, there is an offer to earn a Flagship Lounge pass. Though these promotions may not be groundbreaking, they are certainly worth enrolling in, especially if your upcoming travel plans are not yet set.
Earn up to 5,000 Loyalty Points by flying in March
The initial offer allows you to earn up to 5,000 extra Loyalty Points for travel booked in March on American Airlines. Unfortunately, this equates to just 500 Loyalty Points “per segment,” meaning you’ll need to take 10 flights in March to reach the maximum. However, it can still add up if you haven’t booked your March trips yet. Note that basic economy fares are not eligible, and registration is required. This promotion is valid only until March 31. Simply visit the “Promotions” section in your American Airlines account.
This offer does not apply to flights already booked, which raises questions about why it wasn’t introduced sooner, considering many of us have already scheduled our March travel.
Steps to earn
- Register and book your flight by March 31.
- Choose eligible flights with American Airlines.
- Complete your flights by March 31.

The second promotion offers a one-time Flagship Lounge pass for those who book and complete a first-class, premium economy, or business-class flight in March.

Steps to earn
- Register and book your flight by March 31.
- Select eligible flights in first class, business class, or premium economy with American Airlines.
- Finalize your flights by March 31.
As with the previous offer, registration is essential, and this promotion is not applicable to flights already booked. This opportunity is enticing since Flagship lounges are among the best that American Airlines offers. A new Flagship Lounge is also set to open in Philadelphia later this year.
Final Thoughts
While these promotions may not be revolutionary, they are certainly worthwhile to enroll in, especially if you have not yet booked your March travels.
