Starting January 8th, 2025, travelers to the United Kingdom will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), costing £16 for two years. Note that if you’re only transiting through the UK and remain airside, an ETA is not required. However, passing through UK border control necessitates one. Beware of fraudulent sites selling ETAs for more than the official £16 through the UK Government.
