Can you believe October has already passed? It’s an annual occurrence that always catches me off guard when I realize November is here, bringing us closer to the year’s end. Now’s the perfect time to finalize those holiday plans, utilize shopping portals for earning loyalty points while gift shopping, and consider booking a backup hotel as a “Plan B” in case family dynamics get too intense.
As we embrace the refreshing November air, let’s take a moment to reflect on October’s happenings: Hilton introduced its 25th brand, a new lifestyle collection; a stunning JW Marriott opened in Tokyo (which I eagerly anticipate visiting in December!); and the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, a firm favorite, completed its long-awaited renovation.
Here’s what else you need to know about last month’s hospitality developments.

Moxy Hotels Expands into Latin America
I’ve always been a fan of Moxy hotels. After observing its growth while staying true to its lively ethos, I’m excited to share that a new Moxy property has opened in Tulum, Mexico. This marks its debut in the Caribbean and Latin America. The 122-room hotel is conveniently located near downtown Tulum, offering easy access to the beach, Jaguar National Park, and ancient Mayan ruins. Some rooms even feature bunk beds, ideal for friends or family getaways.
Rates for Moxy Tulum are not yet available.
