Exciting news for travelers heading to Tulum! The Mexican government has opened a new airport, eliminating the long 2+ hour transfer from Cancun.
According to the Matrix Airfare Search by ITA Software, you can find fares starting at $394 for Regular Economy. Booking those dates with American Airlines should reflect the same price for both Basic and Regular Economy options.
The $394 fare allows for one standard carry-on and one personal item, plus the ability to select your seat in advance.
Alternatively, American Airlines offers a Basic Economy fare at $334, which does not permit advance seat assignments or any changes.
