United and its partners—Air Canada, Austrian, Lufthansa, and Swiss Air—offer the $748 fare in regular economy, which includes one checked bag and a standard-sized carry-on.

Additionally, they provide a $548 Basic Economy/Economy Light fare, but please note the following limitations:

• Advance seat assignments are NOT allowed.
• Checked bags are NOT included ($75 each way for the first bag, $100 for the second).
• Changes are NOT permitted.
• Cancellations are NOT allowed—after the 24-hour risk-free period, Basic Economy tickets cannot be used for future purchases.
• Many online travel agencies do not display these fares as Basic Economy correctly.
