Following the glamorous launch of its new long-haul first-class suites, Air France has unveiled an enhancement for its international business class that promises to improve the quality of sleep for passengers traveling to and from Paris.

The Parisian airline is collaborating with a luxury hotel brand to provide new mattress pads for its lie-flat business-class seats, which will start being rolled out on long-haul flights this summer.

Travel Tips: When is the optimal time to book flights for the best fares?

Air France’s New Business-Class Enhancement

In partnership with Sofitel, a renowned hotel brand within the Accor Live Limitless loyalty program, Air France is set to elevate its bedding experience in the business cabin.

AIR FRANCE

Sofitel has designed a new bedding collection tailored for Air France’s business class, aimed at providing passengers a luxurious “floating on a cloud” sensation in the front cabin. This upgrade should significantly enhance overnight flights, ensuring a more pleasant experience for travelers.

The new “Sofitel My Bed” mattress pads will completely cover lie-flat seats across Air France’s wide-body fleet, including Boeing 777 and 787 Dreamliner, as well as Airbus A330 and A350 aircraft.

AIR FRANCE

According to Fabien Pelous, Air France’s senior vice president of customer experience, the new mattress pads are designed to further boost onboard comfort, ensuring a more restful experience both overnight and during daytime flights.

The covers will feature shades of gray that align with the overall style of the business cabin, with tags acknowledging the partnership with Sofitel.

AIR FRANCE

Air France assures travelers that the new mattress pads will enhance comfort whether the seats are in a lie-flat position or upright, providing a cozy experience for passengers at all times.

AIR FRANCE

Passengers can expect to see these exciting changes on Air France aircraft starting in July. By the end of the year, all long-haul routes will feature the new mattress pads, making flights to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) both night and day more enjoyable.

How to Book Air France with Miles and Points

If you’re looking to book a business-class seat on Air France, there are several strategies available to you.

You can transfer credit card rewards to the Flying Blue loyalty program that Air France shares with KLM. Most major credit card issuers, including American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Capital One, Bilt Rewards, and Citi ThankYou Rewards, transfer points at a 1:1 ratio.

Additionally, consider transferring credit card points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club for some of the most competitive transatlantic award rates, keeping in mind that certain bookings may incur high surcharges.

For U.S. frequent flyers, Delta SkyMiles is a partner of Air France within the SkyTeam alliance, though its award pricing is often higher compared to Air France’s Flying Blue program. However, a Delta SkyMiles credit card may yield certain discounts on award bookings.

It’s also worth noting that Accor is a transfer partner for Capital One cardholders.
