Emirates Skywards and Marriott Bonvoy have collaborated over the years, but now members can exchange Emirates Skywards miles for Marriott points at a rate of 3 miles for 2 points.
Here’s a summary of the Emirates and Marriott partnership benefits.
Benefits and Earnings
If you hold accounts with both Marriott Bonvoy and Emirates Skywards, consider linking them. This allows select members to earn rewards in both programs and access various benefits during eligible flights and hotel stays.
Emirates Skywards Silver members and above can earn 1 Skywards mile for every dollar spent on eligible Marriott Bonvoy hotel stays, in addition to the usual Marriott points. Emirates Skywards Gold members and higher receive extra perks at Marriott Bonvoy properties, such as 4 p.m. late checkout (subject to availability) and free in-room Wi-Fi.
Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite members and above can earn 3 Marriott points per dollar spent on eligible Emirates flights, along with the Skywards miles. Additionally, Marriott Platinum Elite members enjoy exclusive in-airport benefits, including priority check-in and boarding.

Convert Rewards
All Marriott Bonvoy and Emirates Skywards members can transfer rewards between their accounts. Specifically, you can convert 3 Marriott points into 1 Skywards mile, and earn 5,000 bonus Skywards miles for every 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points converted. This is particularly advantageous as other programs have temporarily halted transfers to Emirates Skywards.
Starting May 27, members can convert 3 Skywards miles into 2 Marriott points, with a minimum requirement of 3,000 Skywards miles per conversion.
However, converting rewards may not always be the best choice. According to Flying Frugal’s May 2025 valuations, Emirates miles are valued at 1.2 cents each, while Marriott points are valued at 0.7 cents each. Thus, transferring rewards in either direction may result in a loss of value.

Bottom Line
The ability to earn rewards in both programs is a fantastic opportunity for travelers. However, it’s essential to evaluate the value of converting rewards between Marriott Bonvoy and Emirates Skywards carefully. Make sure you’re getting good value and consider other options, such as transferring rewards from different programs or purchasing points or miles.
