American Express is set to unveil its highly anticipated Centurion Lounge at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport (HND).
The spacious 7,500-square-foot lounge opens this week in Terminal 3, conveniently located near Gate 114.
Featuring a design inspired by Japanese aesthetics, the lounge offers an extensive range of local food and beverage options.
Timing Tip: These are the best times to book an international flight
Amex has partnered with chef Satoshi Ogino, known for overseeing Michelin-starred restaurants, to curate the lounge’s culinary experience. Expect beloved Japanese dishes like sushi and ramen, along with a buffet featuring both local and Western flavors.
The bar will serve a selection of wines, cocktails, and a variety of Japanese beers, sake, and shochu.
Additionally, a dedicated sweets bar will feature an assortment of teas and traditional Japanese wagashi.
The lounge’s design aims to create a tranquil atmosphere, highlighted by “Japan Blue” accents throughout the space.

Amex has also collaborated with local artists to showcase signature pieces, including a stunning textile reimagining of the iconic Amex bulldog by Saki Matsumoto.
This Centurion Lounge will offer all essential amenities, including private phone rooms that can double as meditation spaces. Various seating options, such as armchairs, dining tables, and couches, will be available. A private room for families and small groups, complete with a TV, is also included.
Exclusive to holders of the invite-only Centurion Card from American Express, a VIP room will provide enhanced privacy, a dedicated beverage station, and expedited lounge access.
This information regarding the Centurion Card has been gathered independently by The Points Guy and has not been reviewed by the card issuer.
With a size of 7,500 square feet, the lounge may experience high traffic, especially during peak travel times.
Offering a new option is always a plus, and I look forward to experiencing the Centurion Lounge during my next visit to HND.
This marks Amex’s 30th Centurion Lounge and the fourth in Asia, joining its existing locations in New Delhi, Hong Kong, and Mumbai.
