How to Transfer Chase Points to JetBlue
A key advantage of transferable points is that they allow you to book flights with airlines you may not have flown with before. If you don’t already have a JetBlue TrueBlue account, you’ll need to create one to transfer your Chase points.
Go to JetBlue’s website to establish your account for free. Then, log in to your Chase Ultimate Rewards account. Click “Travel” in the top navigation bar, and select “Transfer points to partners.”
On the next screen, you’ll find a list of Chase’s travel partners, with any available transfer bonuses noted at the top. Scroll down and select JetBlue.
You will be taken to a page that covers the rules for transferring points to JetBlue; for example, transfers made via the Chase portal do not qualify for earning JetBlue Mosaic status.
After reviewing the details, click the blue “Transfer Points” button.
Next, you’ll need to enter your JetBlue TrueBlue number or confirm it if you’ve logged in previously. You can also transfer points to an authorized user on your Chase account by entering their TrueBlue number. Click “Next” to proceed.
Now, specify how many points you want to transfer, keeping in mind that it must be a multiple of 1,000, so you may need to transfer slightly more than required for your redemption.
The subsequent page allows you to review your information before completing the transfer. Remember, transfers cannot be reversed, so double-check the number of points and your TrueBlue number before you hit “Submit.” Even a minor error could lead to transferring significantly more points than intended.
If everything looks correct, click “Submit” and wait for your points to appear in your JetBlue account.
Chase states that “Most point transfers process by the next business day, but may take up to 7 business days.” However, many transfers to JetBlue occur instantly, so you could be booking your award flight within minutes of transferring your points.

When to Transfer Chase Points to JetBlue?
JetBlue’s pricing for cash and award tickets is dynamic, meaning the cost in points usually correlates with the cash price. Therefore, you can typically expect a valuation around Flying Frugal’s estimated 1.45 cents per point on JetBlue award flights.
Before booking an award flight, compare prices on the Chase Travel℠ portal; it may yield better value depending on your credit card and any applicable benefits.
For example, I could book a nonstop flight from New York to London for 48,800 TrueBlue points in economy (Blue) or 505,200 points in business class (Mint), in addition to $5.60 in taxes and fees.
The equivalent Blue fare would cost around 51,440 Chase points through Chase Travel, allowing for a few thousand points in savings by transferring to JetBlue instead.
In contrast, the Mint fare costs 319,428 Chase points on Chase Travel, significantly lower than the JetBlue price, though still not a value I would pursue.
When considering a JetBlue flight, it’s important to compare the prices on both JetBlue’s site and Chase Travel to secure the best deal.
