United Airlines offers an $818 fare that includes regular economy benefits: TWO checked bags, a standard carry-on, and the option for advanced seat selection.
In contrast, there’s a $658 Basic Economy fare available from United. Note that these Basic Economy fares:
- DO NOT permit advance seat assignments.
- DO NOT include checked bags beyond the first; an additional bag costs $100 each way.
- DO NOT permit any changes.
- DO NOT allow cancellations—if cancelled after the 24-hour risk-free period, the fare will not retain value.
- Many online travel agencies may not accurately label these fares as Basic Economy.
