American, British Airways, Finnair, and Iberia offer a $659 Regular Economy fare which includes one checked bag and a standard carry-on.

For those considering the $459 fare, note that it’s a Basic Economy fare, which has the following limitations:

• No advance seat assignments.
• Checked bags cost extra: $75 for the first bag and $100 for the second.
• No changes allowed.
• No cancellations: If you cancel after the 24-hour risk-free period, the fare has no value for future travel.
• Many online travel agencies may not display these fares as Basic Economy accurately.

An Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will be required for entry to the UK starting January 8, 2025, costing £16 for two years. Transiting through the UK is ETA-free if you remain airside. However, passing through border control requires one, so beware of scam sites selling them at inflated prices.
