Last month, Swiss Airlines revealed its exciting new first-class cabins, showcasing an impressive final addition.
The innovative first-class experience, set to debut on the Airbus A350-900 later this year, features a suite-style layout in a 1-2-1 configuration. The window “Single Suites” provide expansive private space for individual passengers, while the central “Suite Plus” can accommodate up to two passengers traveling together.

On Wednesday, the airline introduced its new highlight — the “Grand Suite.”
The Grand Suite enables passengers to book the central Suite Plus along with one adjacent Single Suite across the aisle to create a larger space that can accommodate up to three travelers.
This combined suite is designed to function as a conference room, bedroom, or office, as mentioned in Swiss’s press release. The area will be enclosed with nearly 6-foot-high walls, similar to the individual suites.
“With our new SWISS First Grand Suite, we are enhancing our First Class service offering, providing those premium customers seeking increased privacy and flexibility to create their ideal onboard environment,” stated Heike Birlenbach, Swiss’s chief commercial officer.
“Our Grand Suite offers guests their own ‘loft aloft’—a customizable space for relaxation, work, or simply enjoying the journey,” she added.
This new offering will be available on the A350 when it begins service between Boston and Zurich in January, with plans to roll out the Grand Suite on additional A350s. Swiss also intends to retrofit its existing Airbus A330s and Boeing 777s with this upgrade.
It remains uncertain if the Grand Suites will be available for booking with points or miles; however, Swiss suggests that this exclusive experience will only be reachable via its first-class phone hotline.
