The American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts program, established in 1992, has transformed significantly over the years. From just a few hundred initial properties, it has expanded to include around 1,800 luxurious hotels and resorts worldwide. Access to this booking platform is available for holders of The Platinum Card® from American Express and The Business Platinum Card® from American Express. Reservations made through this platform typically come with an array of benefits, such as guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, complimentary breakfast for two, a $100 experience credit, noon check-in (when available), and room upgrades based on availability.

Additionally, when you prepay for a stay at any Fine Hotels + Resorts property using your eligible Amex card, you can receive up to a $600 annual statement credit (up to $300 every six months).

The Platinum Card® from American Express — Discover your offer: You may qualify for as many as 175,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $8,000 on eligible purchases within the first six months of card membership. Offers may vary and eligibility is not guaranteed.

With a revamped statement credit benefit and impressive perks, navigating the expansive Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts portfolio can be quite overwhelming. To assist, we’ve compiled a selection of Flying Frugal’s favorite properties linked to this program around the globe.
