You Can Now Preselect Meals on Long-Haul Delta Comfort+ Flights

Delta Air Lines is enhancing its Comfort+ experience on many long-haul flights by allowing passengers to preselect their meals. This new feature is available for customers booked in Comfort+ on transoceanic and certain long-haul Hawaii flights, with some exceptions.

Customers will receive an email one week before their flight, containing a link to preselect their meal. The meal options will be updated monthly on international routes.

Meal selection can also be done through the FlyDelta app, starting seven days prior. Selections must be finalized within 24 hours of departure.

For instance, a recent email for a business class flight from Los Angeles to Brisbane showcased this feature.

The email states, “We invite you to view the menu and select your meal up to 24 hours before departure.”

However, shorter flights to locations such as Keflavík International Airport in Reykjavik and El Dorado International Airport in Colombia won’t offer this option.

Delta emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance the Comfort+ customer experience. “We understand that our customers appreciate having options during their travels,” said Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Culinary Experience. “This enhancement reflects our commitment to providing a premier travel experience from start to finish.”
