Points Transfer Partners: The Cheat Sheet for 10x Value

How to turn Chase, Amex, Capital One and Bilt points into outsized value — and which charts changed in 2026.

The card earns the points. The transfer partner decides what they are worth. Move 100,000 flexible points into a hotel or airline program with fixed partner pricing and the same balance can be worth several times what a travel-portal booking returns.

Award pricing changes constantly — Aeroplan revised its flight reward chart effective 1 June 2026, for example — so treat every number below as a checkpoint to verify, not a promise.

The four transferable currencies

Chase Ultimate Rewards

Notable partners: World of Hyatt (fixed hotel award chart, consistently the strongest use), United, Air Canada Aeroplan, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, Air France-KLM Flying Blue.

Amex Membership Rewards

Notable partners: ANA Mileage Club, Air Canada Aeroplan, Virgin Atlantic, Flying Blue, British Airways and Iberia Avios (distance-based short-haul), Delta SkyMiles.

Capital One Miles

Notable partners: Turkish Miles&Smiles, Air Canada Aeroplan, Flying Blue, British Airways Avios, Virgin Red, Wyndham Rewards.

Bilt Rewards

Notable partners: Alaska Mileage Plan, American Airlines AAdvantage, Turkish, Flying Blue, World of Hyatt.

Partner lists move. Confirm the current roster in your issuer's transfer page before you plan around any single partner.

Where fixed pricing still beats dynamic pricing

  • World of Hyatt uses a published category chart with no dynamic pricing — the most reliable outsized value in the transferable-points world.
  • Oneworld partner awards through AAdvantage remain on a fixed partner chart even though American prices its own flights dynamically. See our AAdvantage sweet spots guide.
  • Aeroplan partner awards are still zone-based, but the June 2026 chart update raised several transatlantic buckets: 4,001–6,000 mile business went from 70,000 to 75,000 points, and 6,001–8,000 mile business from 85,000 to 90,000. Price the exact zone before transferring.
  • Turkish Miles&Smiles remains among the cheapest Star Alliance partner charts, with US–Europe business commonly quoted around 45,000 miles one-way. Booking friction is real; budget time for phone ticketing.

Rules that do not change

  • Never transfer speculatively. Confirm award space is bookable, then transfer.
  • Transfers are one-way and generally instant-but-final. You cannot move miles back.
  • Wait for transfer bonuses when your travel dates are flexible; 20–30% promotions run regularly.
  • Check carrier-imposed surcharges. British Airways-operated longhaul awards frequently carry several hundred dollars in fees; Aeroplan and Alaska are usually far lower for the same seat.

A workable habit

Before any large booking, search availability on a dedicated award tool, then price the same seat through two or three programs that partner with the operating airline. The spread between the cheapest and most expensive program for an identical seat is routinely 30–40%.
