How We Review Credit Cards

Every number on a card page is checked against the issuer's own pages.

What we verify before a card page goes live

  • Annual fee
  • Welcome offer and the exact bonus currency
  • Minimum spending requirement and the spending period
  • Purchase APR range
  • Foreign-transaction fee
  • Major benefits and statement credits
  • Application restrictions (for example issuer velocity rules)
  • Offer expiration date — only when the issuer explicitly states one

Each verified card records the official issuer product URL, the pricing-and-terms URL, the verification timestamp and the editor who performed the check.

Verification window

Card terms change frequently. A card whose verification is more than 24 hours old is automatically returned to “needs review”: its offer terms and application button are hidden until an editor re-checks it.

Affiliate relationships

A direct link to an issuer is not an affiliate link. We only use an affiliate application URL when the relationship is approved through an affiliate network and recorded as verified. Paid links carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and an advertiser disclosure beside the button. We never cloak an application URL, and we never describe an ordinary issuer link as monetized.

Ranking

Rankings reflect verified value for budget-minded travellers: bonus value net of annual fee, everyday earning rates, redemption flexibility and usable travel credits. Commission rates are not an input.
